I saw The Last Play at Shea at New York City’s historic Ziegfeld Theater. It was a one night event across the country. The Last Play at Shea is not your typical concert movie. It tells a beautiful story that weaves together Billy Joel’s career, the history of The New York Mets and the history of New York, with a bunch of concert footage and interviews throughout.
I’m not into baseball but found myself enjoying those parts as well. So if you don’t like Billy Joe, I still recommend checking it out.
They have added some additional dates. If you can make it out I highly recommend it. If you are not able to see it at a theater, its coming to DVD in early 2011.
